Sensei Arjun Shrestha (5th Dan)

Sensei Arjun Shrestha is a retired officer from Gurkha Contingent, Singapore Police Force (GC, SPF).  He has started practicing Aikido since 1998 in Singapore.  He obtained his 5th Dan Black Belt from Aikido Aikikika Headquarters, Japan. He has attended numerous overseas training seminars including International Aikido Federation (IAF) Congress in Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.  In the year 2012, Sensei has established the Aikido Aikikai Dojo in Nepal.

He has started martial arts at his young age with Wado-Kai Karate however, started the Kyokushin-Kai (Mas Oyama) Karate in 1991. He is Singapore Champion (Gold medal) from Kyokushin-Kai Kan Open Category in 1994 and represented Singapore for the 6th All Asian Open Full Contact Karate Tournament held in Kathmandu Nepal. He has obtained his 1st Dan Black belt in Kyokushin-Kai Karate from Tokyo, Japan. Since then, he did a Karate Instructor for 12 years in the special force of Singapore (Gurkha Contingent, SPF).

 He also has practiced many other martial arts such as Yagyu Shingan Ryu, Zendo-Kai Karate & Kick Boxing, Krav-Maga, Silat Suffian Bela Diri (SSBD – Brunei martial). He learnt couple of Filipino martial arts; Tabimina Balintawak, United Arnis Eskrima Kali and Pekiti-Trisia Kali.  He has completed the course of Edged and Impact Weapons Tactical Combat Specialized Training Valid in all Military and Law Enforcement World Wide conducted by Tuhon Rommel P. Tortal, Chief Tactical Instructor of Pekiti-Tirsia Kali Global Grand Alliance. He is a Lakan Guro in United Arnis and Pekiti-Trisia Kali (Instructor level 1). He is appointed director for Pekiti-Tactical Association, (USA) for Nepal.

 Sensei Arjun is a Tactical Baton Instructor for Armament Systems and Procedures (ASP) extendable baton and Tactical Metal Handcuffs Instructor from the USA.  Sensei Arjun is a Founder of Unarmed Tactics (UT) for GC, SPF.
